MWM BRAKES
With their absolutely unusual shape, our
caliper brakes have the revolutionary
ortogonal freedom of move, that allows a perfect auto allignment to the disc or the rail and an easy installation.
Only the MWM caliper brakes have, infact, the
patented system of axial sliding, which makes them ideal for installation on vertical bars and rails.
The control can be pneumatic, hydraulic and manual from 0 to 70.000N.
They can operate in two different ways:
– spring released when the control generates the necessary braking effect.
– spring applied when the effect (braking) is achieved without control, which causes the brake to disengage. These are mainly used as safety or holding brakes.
Pneumatic caliper brakes |
 |
Pneumatically applied spring released. The control produces the breaking effect by the adduction of air. |
Pneumatic spring applied caliper brakes |
 |
Spring applied pneumatically released. Breaking is obtained wothout control, which causes the brake to disengage by the adduction of air. These brakes are mainly used as safety and holding brakes. |
Duo caliper brakes |
 |
The advantage of combining a pneumatic caliper brake with a pneumatic spring applied caliper brake in one single product, saving space and money. |
Pneumatically released reduced pressure caliper brakes |
 |
With reduced pressure below 4 bar. |
Hydraulic caliper brakes |
 |
Hydraulically applied, spring released. The control produces the braking effect by the adduction of oil. |
Hydraulic spring applied caliper brakes |
 |
Spring Applied hydraulically released. Breaking is obtained wothout control, which instead causes the brake to disengage by the adduction of oil.
These brakes are mainly used as safety and holding brakes. |
Caliper brakes hand operated |
 |
The adjustable braking is manually implemented by the operator with the rotation of an handwheel mechanism or by a remote control. |
Brake discs |
 |
MWM offers two types of brake discs: DF and DFF. |
